Complementary studies on Channel dolphins

Brussels, 15/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Joe Borg, agreed on Monday to the British request (supported by Germany and Sweden) to provide additional information to protect dolphins against certain fishing practices, especially in the western Channel. The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) has been asked to provide new scientific recommendations on accidental catches of dolphins. Mr Borg has called on Member...
