15/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 11 March the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, René van der Linden, launched an appeal urging the authorities in Byelorussia to immediately transfer Mikhail Marynich to a civilian hospital so that he can receive suitable healthcare. The health of the leader of the Byelorussian opposition worsened significantly on 7 March while in a penal colony that lacked adequate healthcare to treat him.
