Renewing EU's support for work of International Criminal Court, Jean Asselborn warns in Geneva that we must all ensure application of human rights

Brussels, 15/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Speaking in Geneva on 14 March on behalf of the EU at the opening of the 61st session of the UN Commission on Human Rights, Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn welcomed Louise Arbour's appointment as the new High Commissioner for Human Rights. He recognised that the “everyday life … within each of our societies” shows the extent to which the world is still far from full application of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights....
