Spring european Summit: European Parliament's position on rekindling Lisbon strategy

On 9 March, in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted - by 514 votes to 110 and 20 abstentions - a resolution that broadly supports the ideas put forward by the Barroso Commission for mid-term review of the Lisbon Strategy with a view to the Spring European Council on 22 and 23 March (see EUROPE of 10 March, pages 7 to 9).
