Albania to send 50 soldiers to Bosnia-Herzegovina - Belgium and Albania strengthen their military cooperation

Brussels, 07/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The High Representative for European Union CFSP, Javier Solana, met the Albanian Defence Minister, Pandeli Majko, on Monday to sign an agreement on Albania's participation in the EU-led Althea mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina. This is the first EU military operation in which Albania is participating with a contingent comprised of fifty soldiers.
