European Medicines Agency not worried about production problems at certain GSK sites

Brussels, 07/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - In a press release published on 4 March, the European Medicines Agency opts for prudence towards British laboratory GlaxoSmithKline after the American FDA seized several batches of a drug used in the treatment of diabetes (Avandamet) which is available in Europe, and of an anti-depressant (Paxil CR), both of which products came from a production site in Puerto Rico which has violated good manufacturing practice.
