Accession Treaty for Bulgaria and Romania ready to be signed on 25 April

Brussels, 22/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - As is required by procedure, the Commission on Tuesday gave its favourable opinion to the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU on 1 January 2007. The opinion comes at the official conclusion of accession negotiations with the two countries at the European Council of 17 December last year and the finalisation of the drafting work and translation of the accession treaty, which is now ready to be signed in Luxembourg on 25 April (the favourable...
