Luxembourg, 15/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Given that the Millennium Development Goals are on the agenda of the informal meeting of EU development cooperation ministers on Monday and Tuesday in Luxembourg (see other articles), a group of development NGOs has urged the EU to pledge 0.7% of its GDP to public development aid by 2010, abstain from policies that have devastating effects on poor countries, and play a driving role in the global fight against poverty.
