Rulings against Italy and Greece for poor management of pollution discharges violating European environemental directives - Enichem and Péra Galini sites

Luxembourg, 10/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - Following a number of pollution discharges in breach of European environmental directives, the European Court of Justice has ruled against Italy for not having taken waste evacuation measures at the site of the former Enichem de Manfredonia factory in the Foggia region. It also ruled against Greece for its poor management of the Péra Galini site in Heraklion.
