10/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Cockpit Association (ECA) has appointed a new Secretary General. German national Philip von Schöppenthau took up his new post on 3 January and will focus on the future Commission provisions on flying time and rest periods for pilots, air negotiations between the EU and the United States, and ECA's cooperation with above all the European Commission and Eurocontrol.
