Commissioner Fischer Boel says Polish farm income has risen sharply since accession

Brussels, 06/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - European Agriculture Commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel, on an official visit to Poland this week, said on Wednesday that the average income of Polish farmers increased by 74% in 2004 on 2003. This spectacular hike is revealed by the latest figures published by Eurostat, said the Commissioner, and bears witness to the huge benefits that Polish farmers have already had from Poland joining the EU.
