Security on African continent is focus of Council concerns

Brussels, 23/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Monday's General Affairs and External Relations Council (yesterday's EUROPE, pages 5 and 6) devoted a large part of its work to the situation in Africa, and especially in Sudan, the Great Lakes Region, Ivory Coast and Somalia. The main elements of the conclusions adopted are:
