ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) coal

The investment group RPG INDUSTRIES has acquired two thirds of the capital of KARBON INVEST, the management company of OKD, the largest mining group in the Czech Republic. This operation will allow it to obtain 96% of OKD (turnover of 25 billion Czech crowns in 2003). The total sum of the operation has not been disclosed, but is likely to be in the region of 400 million EUR.
