05/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - At a press conference after the European Council, the Greek delegation spoke out against the fact that the United States recognised the "Republic of Macedonia" on Thursday 4 November. Greece is contesting this, because at the moment, there is no acceptable consensus on a name for this State, which is still registered with the UN as the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
