Retail sales volume remains unchanged in euro zone in September 2004 compared to September 2003

Brussels, 05/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The retail sales volume remained unchanged in the euro zone and increased by 2.0% in the EU25 in September 2004 compared to September 2003, according to the latest estimates of the Eurostat office. Compared to August 2004, the sales index progressed 0.1% in the euro zone and 0.2% in the EU25. Still in comparison with the previous month, retail sales increased in Spain (+1.6%), Poland and the United Kingdom (+0.7% each) and Luxembourg (+0.6%). Falls were...
