Anna Zaborska says anti-poverty programmes should have special approach for women - Lissy Groner calls for strategy to combat female poverty

Brussels, 18/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On the 17 October, International Reject Poverty Day, the President of the European Parliament's Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities Committee, Anna Zaborska, explained that the EU helped combat poverty through the Lisbon Strategy, but admitted that the EU did not pay enough attention to poverty amongst women.
