Non-adjustment of social welfare and tax systems to socio-economic changes in EU calls for harmonisation between Member States, Spanish study says

Brussels, 01/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - Speaking before the EP Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality chaired by Anna Zaborska (EPP-ED, Slovakia), the representative of Almenara Estudios Economicos y Sociales (Madrid) presented the conclusions of a study commissioned by the parliamentary committee in 2003 on the social security systems in the EU and their impact on reconciling family and professional life.
