Unemployment falls in eu in july but unchanged in euro-zone

Luxembourg, 01/09/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to figures published on 1 September by Eurostat, Euro-zone seasonally-adjusted unemployment stood at 9.0% in July 2004, unchanged compared to June. It was 8.9% in July 2003. The EU25 unemployment rate was 9.0% in July 2004, down from 9.1% in June. It was also 9.1% in July 2003. In July 2004, the lowest rates were registered in Austria (4.2%), Luxembourg (4.3%), Ireland and Cyprus (both 4.5%) and the United Kingdom (4.7% in May). Unemployment...
