Brussels, 28/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to mobilise 4.35 million EUR in emergency humanitarian aid to answer the growing needs of the populations which have been the victims of floods in Southern Asia, due either to the exceptionally heavy monsoon which struck Bangladesh, and the torrential rains in Tajikistan.
The money will come from the Echo budget (EU humanitarian aid office).
