28/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just given the green light to the acquisition of NRW.BANK (Germany) by the German federal State Nordrhein-Westfalen. NRW.BANK is a public bank active in development projects in the region and controls WestLB AG, a commercial bank with international activities. The operation is part of the restructuring of publicly owned banks in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
