Commission visit on Thursday and Friday to Moscow to continue negotiations - preparation of negotiation mandate with Ukraine

Brussels, 13/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - An official has indicated to EUROPE that a European Commission delegation will be in Moscow on Thursday and Friday to continue negotiations on Russia's participation in the Galileo radio-navigation satellite system. The Commission is seeking to conclude an agreement with its Russian partner. It obtained a negotiation mandate in October 1999 which was the same as that obtained with the USA.
