Brussels, 13/07/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the Council officially approved the appointment of the Finn Olli Rehn as a new member of the European Commission. Mr Rehn replaced his colleague Erkki Liikanen yesterday, as the latter took up his duties on Monday as the Governor of the Central Bank of Finland in Helsinki.
