NGOs push for civil society involvement in reforms

Brussels, 25/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the Summit between the EU and the United States, to take place in Dublin on 26 June (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.5), representatives of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN), the International Federation of Human Rights Leagues (FIDH) and the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) have called for civil society's involvement in Euro-American initiatives for political reform in the Arab world.
