25/06/2004 (Agence Europe) - The German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder is confident that the Commission's report on Turkey this October will be "positive", and that accession negotiations will be able to start soon afterwards. Jacques Chirac shares this view, said Mr Schröder in an interview with Turkish CNN: "We both agree that if the Commission's report is positive, then there is no reason to delay negotiations any further".
