New Member States officially join the European Investment Bank

Luxembourg, 12/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The EIB has just inaugurated the participation of the new Member States in its decision-making bodies. The EIB's Board of Directors in its new composition officially welcomed ten representatives from the countries that joined the European Union on 1 May. The Board of Governors - the governing body of the institution - increased from 15 to 25 members, each Member State having one representative, generally its Finance Minister.
