Brussels, 11/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - At a proposal by Commissioner Michaele Schreyer, the European Commission is to adopt on Wednesday a proposal for a correcting budget on the 2003 surplus estimated at EUR 5.4 billion to be paid back to the Member States. The Commission has in concrete terms suggested reducing the contribution by Member States by as much for the current budget (2004).
