11/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Ariancespace has signed a 3 billion dollar contract with EADS for the European consortium to produce, test and transport to the Kourou base (in French Guyana) 30 Ariane 5 launchers between 2005 and 2010. The contract was signed on 10 May in Berlin, in the presence of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, French research minister François d'Aubert and the Director General of the European Space Agency Jean-Jacques Dordain.
