Advocate General Geelhoed proposes that France be fined EUR 115.5 million for failing to comply with fishery enforcement obligations plus a EUR 58 million fine for every further six months it fails to comply

Luxembourg, 30/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - A Court of Justice press release explains that Advocate General Geelhoed suggests a lump sum fine of EUR 115.5 million be imposed on France for failing to comply with fishery enforcement obligations over a number of years and that France be required to pay nearly EUR 58 mil for every further six months that it fails to comply.
