Commission to grant EUR 230 million for transport infrastructure and internet development in Africa

Brussels, 23/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just approved infrastructure development programmes in Africa to the tune of EUR 230 million Developing Africa's infrastructure: Commission invests over € 230 million in transport and internet access million via the rebuilding of key roads, and communication technology programmes.

Funding will be distributed a follows: € 92 M investment in major road-building, improvement and maintenance in Uganda; € 71 M to rebuild...
