EP approves European Commission proposals for post-2006 cohesion policy

Strasbourg, 23/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Parliament approved the European Commission's proposals for post-2006 cohesion policy as outlined in the third cohesion report (EUROPE 22 April p 13 for the debate). The report by Konstantinos Hatzidakis (EPP-ED, Greece) supports the granting of most aid to the poorest regions and for continued aid to other regions.
