Only five Member States respect deadline to communicate national plan to allocate emissions quotas

Brussels, 01/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - Only five out of fifteen Member States- Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Germany and Austria- complied with the cut-off date of midnight on 31 March, to send the Commission their national plan for allocating quotas for the emissions of greenhouse gas, under directive 2003/87/EC (see EUROPE of 30 March, p.12).
