Strasbourg, 30/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday, the British Defence Secretary, Geoff Hoon, reaffirmed his country's support for the development of European defence in close co-operation with NATO, speaking to the European Parliament's committee on foreign affairs and security. Geoff Hoon believes that developing the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) will inevitably entail improving the EU's military capability and increasing military expenditure.
