Former Eurostat probationer contests her dismissal

Luxembourg, 11/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Former probationary employee of Eurostat, Deirdre McCabe, has appealed to the Court of First Instance of the EU to overturn the Commission's decision to sack her, and has asked for damages for wrongful dismissal. Deirdre McCabe states that "her incompetence was alleged merely to prevent her from reporting anomalies in the management of Eurostat which were revealed subsequently". She is also challenging the content of her "cursory, vague and ambiguous"...
