10/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the European Parliament approved a proposal to extend by two years (to the 2005-06 campaign) the opportunity provided to linen and hemp for extending the period set for authorising the percentage of impurities by a further two years. The EP adopted the report of Joseph Daul (EPP-ED, France), which also introduces a degree of flexibility in the regulation establishing the rules for preventing irregularities.
