Strasbourg, 10/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Colombian president Alvaro Uribe outlined during a speech, (essentially aimed at explaining the fight against the guerrillas in his country) at the European Parliament plenary on 10 January in Strasbourg, his "democratic security" policy. Uribe met the High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana earlier in Brussels and European Commission president Romano Prodi (see below, as well as in EUROPE yesterday p 6) but was opposed by many MEPs who wished to...
