At plenary President Uribe, opposed by several political groups, defends his "security concept" against guerrillas and seeks free trade agreement with EU

Strasbourg, 10/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Colombian president Alvaro Uribe outlined during a speech, (essentially aimed at explaining the fight against the guerrillas in his country) at the European Parliament plenary on 10 January in Strasbourg, his "democratic security" policy.
