10/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - "I have not yet decided". Such was the comment made by European Competition Commissioner Mario Monti to the Agency ANSA, when questioned about his political future. Mr Monti specified that he does not plan to stand for European elections, but that, "if the Italian government and the president of the future European Commission were to propose a new term of office as Commissioner, I would give that proposal some serious thought".
