Brussels, 04/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - As anticipated (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.9), the European Commission has proposed that the expenditure of the ten new Member States, 11.771 billion EUR in commitment appropriations and 5.105 billion in payment appropriation, be included in the 2004 Community budget for 1 May, date of enlargement.
