President of EU's Military Committee in favour of clear division of responsibilities between European and American pillars of NATO

Brussels, 19/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - During a conference in Salen (north-west of Stockholm) on Sunday, the President of the EU's Military Committee, the Finnish General Gustav Hagglund, said that European and American forces should take on the defence of their respective territories themselves, and co-operate for major external crises.
