19/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has published a communication on parallel imports of medicines. This communication must allow national administrations and economic operators to have a clearer vision of the obligations that are upon them with regard the free movement of goods within the European internal market. A first communication of this kind had been published in 1982. The new text takes into account the latest developments of the Court of Justice caselaw mainly concerning the packaging and information obligations of the trademark holder when the medicine is re-packaged.
