Brussels, 15/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's agricultural services has just published a report on consumption trends for dairy and livestock products and the use of feeds in production in the ECC accession and candidate countries. The report, drafted jointly by the Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO) and independent experts, demonstrates that consumption of dairy products (particularly cheese), vegetables and fruit has increased sharply over recent years in the ten countries, whereas beef meats and mutton have fallen considerably as pork and chicken consumption has risen. The report is available on the internet: (http: //europa.eu.int/comm/agriculture/publi/reports/ccconsumption/index_en.htm).
