UK, France and Germany may make a move

Brussels, 23/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - Tuesday's Guardian reports that the British, French and German foreign ministers, Jack Straw, Dominique de Villepin and Joschka Fischer, may travel to Damascus together to apply pressure on Syria to abandon its WMD programme, echoing their visit to Iran in October 2003. (See yesterday's Europe, p.3, on de Villepin's comments on the three countries' moves with regard to Teheran.)
