08/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has approved the provisions of the new three-year protocol to the fishing agreement signed in 2002 between the E and Mozambique, in its adoption last Thursday of the report by British Conservative Struan Stevenson. This agreement allows deep-sea tuna and prawn fishing for 59 Community boats. The EU's financial compensation will rise to 4,090,000 EUR per annum (see details in EUROPE of 26 October 2002).
