08/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Europe Museum Prize 2004 has been awarded to the Museum of Health in Erdine, Turkey. Part of a hospital and religious complex and built in around 1480 by Sultan Bayezid II, this museum shows today's visitors the treatments used at the end of the 15th century on patients with mental problems. These holistic therapies were based on the sound of water, music and aromatic compounds.
