Brussels, 03/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee has adopted by 32 votes for, 5 against with two abstentions, the report of the German Christian Democrat, Armin Laschet on cooperation between the European Union and the United Nations. MEPs believe that Europe should play a more active role at the UN and participate reform of its structures for strengthening the effectiveness of the multilateral system.
