02/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - At the end of the NATO Defence Ministers' meeting, the Secretary General of NATO, Lord Robertson acknowledged to the press that on this occasion there had been "behind the scenes" "robust and private discussions on Iraq and on European defence. On the latter, he said that he was "sure that Tony Blair will only accept the primacy of NATO for the Euro-Atlantic security zone"' (EUROPE pp 5-10).
