European Parliament suggests ways of strengthening EU's military capacity - Towards codecision for industrial policy

Brussels, 24/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the European Parliament stressed the need for the EU to develop its military capacity, highlighting that this would require Member States to pledge to make a greater investment in military spending. The Parliament also focussed on the importance of the partnership between the EU and NATO and making European and transatlantic equipment more interoperable.
