Implementation of excessive deficit procedure for France, impact of ageing population on public finance and 'Transparency Directive' on agenda of Tuesday Council

Brussels, 03/11/2003 (Agence Europe) -Finance Ministers from the EU member states, gathered on Tuesday in Brussels under the Presidency of Giulio Tremonti, will discuss the excessive deficit for France, but could decide to postpone the adoption of specific recommendations to be sent to this member state to put an end to the situation of excessive deficit in 2005.
