Reasoned opinion on road transport is sent to Portugal

Brussels, 17/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has sent a reasoned opinion to Portugal for failing to comply with European legislation on the working hours of drivers. From 1995 to 2000, Portugal did not carry out the minimum number of checks required on the working hours of professional drivers, as stipulated in the directive concerned.
