Aid for citrus fruit sector in Sicily

Brussels, 16/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved aid of €5 164 569 planned by Sicily for various types of action in the citrus fruit sector in Sicily. Sicily Region's budget supplements that of the central government for the national citrus cultivation plan. In 2001 the Commission opened a scrutiny procedure for the planned aid, since at the time when the Sicilian authorities asked it to adopt a decision on a range of aid measures planned for Sicily examination...
