Court of Justice against nine Member States involving "1st rail infrastructure package"

Brussels, 16/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commission is taking 9 Member States to the Court of Justice for failing to notify the Commission of any transposition of the "1st rail infrastructure package". The set of three directives opening the market for international rail freight services had to be implemented into national legislation by 15 March 2003. The countries concerned are: Austria, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. 4 have already...
